Research objectives:

19th century Czech music

Ludmila Šmídová researches 19th century Czech music, mainly the works of Antonín Dvořák. In her Ph.D. thesis she dealt with his Piano concerto in g minor, op. 33 (Piano Concerto in G Minor, op. 33, by Antonín Dvořák – Early and Final Version. Critical Edition of the Score // Study about the Origins, the First Printing and the Performance Practice). She is involved in the preparation of the New Dvořák Edition.
